Wat zijn jouw verantwoordelijkheden?

Vanbreda Risk & Benefits is op zoek naar een ervaren Compliance & Risk Management Officer om het General Management team te versterken. Vanuit jouw rol informeer en adviseer je de organisatie om onze groeiambities te alligneren met de regelgevingen die van toepassing zijn binnen de verzekeringssector.

Als Compliance & Risk Management Officer houd je nauwe contacten met en ben je hét aanspreekpunt voor de verschillende regelgevende instanties zoals het FSMA.
Je houdt je kennis op peil mbt aanpassingen en vernieuwingen binnen de regelgevingen die voor ons van toepassing zijn.
Je bent op de hoogte van de verschillende regelgevingen waaraan onze organisatie moet voldoen. Je monitort en controleert of onze werking in regel is met deze regelgeving en met de vereisten voor specifieke licenties.
Samen met de business zorg je ervoor dat we voldoen aan de vereisten en dat we onze verplichtingen hieromtrent nakomen.
Je bewaakt zelf de compliance kalender en planning en zorgt voor een tijdige opvolging en oplevering.
Je zorgt voor de uitwerking, implementatie en optimalisatie van een risk management procedure binnen onze organisatie.
In nauwe samenwerking met Internal Audit en Legal, waak je over onze risico's. Je inspireert het management en onze directie om tijdens het opstellen en het uitwerken van onze bedrijfsstrategie na te denken over compliance.
Je rapporteert bedrijfsrisico's, jouw bevindingen en suggesties aan het directiecomité.
Bij inbreuken zorg je voor een correcte analyse, crisis management, communicatie en uitwerking van een oplossing. Je brengt verbeteringen aan waar nodig om weer in regel te zijn én doet ook de nodige opvolging van deze acties.

Last but not least, creëer je een bewustwording binnen de organisatie dat compliance meer is dan tegemoet komen aan de steeds strengere wet
- en regelgevingen. Het is hoe langer hoe meer ook een belangrijke verwachting van de maatschappij en dus van onze klanten. Denk hierbij aan waarden als betrouwbaarheid, integriteit, duurzaamheid,..

Functie-eisen

Functieprofiel

Bij voorkeur heb je een opgedane ervaring, als interne of externe adviseur, binnen de bancaire
- of verzekeringssector inzake risk management, compliance, regelgeving,..

Je hebt een grondige kennis van de voornaamste risico's en regelgevingen die van toepassing zijn binnen de verzekeringssector of bent bereid die kennis snel te verwerven bouwend op je ervaring.
Jouw analytische vaardigheden stellen je in staat om;
1. De risico's in te schatten van onze processen en van de werking van onze diensten.
2. Te toetsen of onze werking voldoet aan de regelgevingen waaraan we moeten tegemoetkomen.
Je bent communicatief vaardig en komt overtuigend over bij het informeren en adviseren. Op die manier weet je vanuit jouw expertise anderen te inspireren en aan te zetten tot actie.
Je werkt autonoom, maar ook vlot samen met anderen om tot een gedragen resultaat te komen.
Je bent organisatorisch sterk en kan het overzicht bewaren in stressvolle situaties.
Je kan je vlot uitdrukken in het Nederlands en Engels.
