Description:
We are currently looking for a part-time Payroll/HR Officer to join our European HR team on a 3-6 month fixed term contract.
You will be working closely with our Belgium office, supporting the day-to-day HR operations and larger business initiatives, payroll administration support and HR transition being a key project.
You will be based from our Brussels office but also hybrid working is available, you will report to the Senior People Partner, Europe with a dotted line to the Head of Brussels.
Responsibilities:
- Administer the payroll processes and HR transition for Belgium
- Maintain HR trackers and HRIS database (Workday) with employee information and changes ensuring data is up to date and accurate
- Provide administrative support to Human Resources by maintaining all employee and HRrelated records, keeping them updated and legally compliant
- Respond appropriately to confidential and sensitive information while maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times
- Maintain electronic personnel files and HR department files
- Assist in the administration of HR programs, including time off, holidays, benefits
- Act as a knowledgeable resource to employees and internal support teams. Serve as the first point of contact for all HR related questions and queries, liaising with other members of HR and stakeholders where necessary
- Participate in and coordinate basic employee training programs including New Hire Orientation, Manager training, and other training programs as necessary
- Complete adhoc reporting requests in support of HR and business initiatives
- Assist with HR processes such as compensation planning and performance management
- Provide support in relation to office administration tasks
Qualifications:
- Experience of Belgium payroll administration
- Expertise in Belgium law/ HR practices
- Fluent in English & French is required, Flemish is preferred
- Experience with Workday
- Sufficient experience within HR ideally in a similar business field or related area
- Excellent relationship skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communications
- Outstanding organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to remain flexible
- Ability to communicate with all employee levels and knowledge of corporate communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, vlookup, etc.)
- Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Office 365, and Adobe Suite skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related area preferred.
