**OVER DE UGENT**

**JOUW OPDRACHT**
- Je besteedt minimum 70% van je opdracht aan wetenschappelijk onderzoek.
- Je assisteert bij het aankoopproces van twee nieuwe labo-opstellingen (geavanceerde triaxiaalcel en resonant column).
- Je voert calibratietesten uit voor de labo-opstellingen om hun goede werking voor cohesieve grond te verifiëren. Je overlegt hierover met andere internationale laboratoria.
- Je draagt bij aan het vastleggen van een onshore geotechnische meetcampagne gericht op het verkrijgen van grondstalen voor verder onderzoek.
- Je interpreteert de resultaten van CT scans op de grondstalen en selecteert specimens voor triaxiaalproeven en resonant column proeven.
- Je voert CU triaxiaalproeven en resonant column proeven uit, rapporteert de resultaten en trekt conclusies over de invloed van breuken op sterkte en stijfheid.
- Je stuurt het technisch personeel aan om de triaxiaalproeven en resonant column proeven uit te voeren volgens de ASTM standaarden.
- Je communiceert je onderzoekresultaten in publicaties in wetenschappelijke tijdschriften en conferenties.

**JOUW PROFIEL**
- Je hebt een diploma van doctor op proefschrift behaald in de geotechniek (maximaal 6 jaar geleden, de termijn van 6 jaar wordt bepaald op basis van de datum vermeld op het hierboven gevraagde diploma en de startdatum van de arbeidsovereenkomst)
- Je bent vertrouwd met geavanceerde laboproeven op cohesieve grond. Ervaring met dynamische triaxiaalproeven en resonant column proeven is een troef.
- Je begrijpt de fundamentele grondmechanische eigenschappen van stijve gescheurde kleien en je hebt inzicht in de rek-afhankelijkheid van hun stijfheid.
- Je communiceert vlot over technische topics en kunt het gesprek met fabrikanten van labo-apparatuur aangaan om ervoor te zorgen dat de proefopstellingen naar behoren werken.
- Je bent bereid om met andere internationale laboratoria in gesprek te gaan om je competenties in geavanceerd geotechnisch labo-onderzoek te verbeteren. Je bent bereid op periodes van 2 tot 6 maanden door te brengen aan andere internationale onderzoeksinstellingen.
- Je kunt duidelijke en respectvolle instructies geven aan technici en bent bereid om bij te leren van hun praktische expertise.

- Wij bieden je een contract van onbepaalde tijd met een beding van 3 jaar.
- De indiensttreding kan ten vroegste vanaf 1/10/2024.
