UX Designer
The energy market is evolving in both the production and consumption of energy. The ongoing electrification puts increasing demands on the energy system and infrastructure. our Clitne is anticipating the impact of this energy transition through a digital transformation.
In the adoption of digital technologies, they are defining the next generation substations that leverage digital communication in the protection, controlling, and monitoring of the grid.
While the current implementations of substations rely on analog communication and paper documentation, that is about to change.Within this context, a clear visualization of the system status is vital, as live and dynamic documentation will enable users to understand and manage the energy system.
The goal of this project is to explore how the documentation of the future could look and feel like and how it would be used in the field.
Through this platform, Energy Service Providers will be able to offer new B2C services from disruptive services put at their disposal "à la carte" or end-to-end.
The UX researcher will conduct the necessary user research to gather user needs, and all the necessary activity to design a user-centric solution. The end-delivery of this project is a high-fidelity interactive prototype of a possible solution, evaluated by users.
Mission tasks:
- Lead UX research activities
- Prepare and animate workshops on functional framing, ideation and codesign with business and users, or even on an ad hoc basis for user tests and focus groups
- Collect user needs and feedback throughout the project by implementing appropriate research methods (onsite observations, interviews, user tests, surveys, literature, etc.)
- Create personas through user research and data
- Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success via measurable criteria
- Identify business processes and use cases, define and formalize user journeys or make recommendations for improvement to existing journeys
- Create storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
- Realize wireframes and produce clickable functional prototypes with mock data
- Present ideas, concepts and design solutions to various stakeholders
- Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing extra tasks as needed
Requirements:
Hard skills:
Skills and Senirotiy
- 5 years experience in design thinking in context of agile projects
- 5 years experience of qualitative and quantitative research methods
- 3 years experience with UX design for complex workflows
- 3 years experience with interaction design and information architecture
- Ability to create wireframes and user flows
- Attention to details and works delivered in high standard
- Proficient in design software (Figma) as well as presentation software (PowerPoint, Miro)
- Experiences in UI designs for multiple thin or thick clients (responsive Web, mobile, desktop) and ability to use a design system in Figma is a plus
- Formal qualification (master degree, certification, ) in UX is valued

- Language skill : professional proficiency in French and Dutch is mandatory (to interact with users and conduct interviews and tests for instance).
Good proficiency in English for communication within the Group. German is a plus.
