Functieomschrijving De afdeling HES is de drijvende kracht achter EG's focus op het leveren van een positieve impact op onze omgeving. Dit doen ze op drie focusgebieden: de planeet, de mens en de gemeenschap.
- In jouw rol als Health & Safety Manager Benelux ben je eindverantwoordelijk voor het uitwerken, doorvertalen en implementeren van het Health & Safety beleid voor Nederland, België en Luxemburg.
- Je bent enerzijds eindverantwoordelijk voor het ontwikkelen en implementeren van het (lokale) preventiebeleid BeNeLux, anderzijds maak je deel uit van het HES team op groepsniveau, waarbij je mee je schouders zet onder de ontwikkeling en implementatie van een nieuw veiligheidsprogramma (ISO
- Je geeft leiding aan het Benelux Health & Safety team, dat instaat voor het borgen van veiligheid en gezondheid van zo'n 1000-tal sites in de Benelux. Concreet begeleid, ontwikkel en coach je twee HES specialisten met elk een lokale verantwoordelijkheid voor respectievelijk de regio's Nederland en Belux.
- Om jouw rol optimaal te kunnen vervullen, houd je nauw contact met diverse stakeholders binnen de organisatie (Country Manager, Area Managers, Retail Managers, ESG Manager, HR Director, Training,..) waarbij je samen met hen zorgt dat zaken zo goed als mogelijk worden geïmplementeerd in de praktijk, rekening houden met het geldend wettelijk kader.
- Je adviseert en staat de business bij inzake nieuwe projecten in het kader van duurzame bedrijfsvoering, maar ook sta je borg voor het veilig gebruik van gevaarlijke stoffen, machines en installaties bij investeringsprojecten of onderhoud aan bestaande installaties.
- Je houdt jezelf continu op de hoogte van de geldende en toekomstige wet- en regelgeving (Benelux).
- Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het vergroten van de bewustwording van het belang van duurzaamheid, kwaliteit, welzijn en veiligheid. Zodoende organiseer je de nodige trainingen.
- Je bekijkt samen met de juiste stakeholders hoe incidenten te voorkomen (root cause analysis) en staat borg voor een vlotte rapportage.
- Je ontwikkelt nood- en evacuatieplannen, auditprogramma's en coördineert de audits op de retail vestigingen.
- Je vertegenwoordigt de organisatie en treedt op als contactpersoon voor externe stakeholders (overheidsinspecties, seminars, relevante vakgroepen in het kader van duurzaamheid, veiligheid, welzijn, milieu, duurzaamheid en voedselveiligheid).
- Je rapporteert in deze rol rechtstreeks aan de Country Manager Benelux en in dotted line naar de Group Safety Manager in de UK.
- Je beschikt minstens over een diploma Preventieadviseur niveau II (BE) of HVK (NL) en je kijkt terug op enkel jaren ervaring in een vergelijkbare rol.
- Je bent open-minded, communicatief en kan zaken vanuit verschillende perspectieven benaderen, wat maakt dat je relevante stakeholders op een succesvolle wijze weet te betrekken en te bewegen om je doelen te behalen.
- Enkele van je grootste troeven zijn je dynamiek en actiegerichtheid. Daarnaast weet je jouw communicatiestijl vlot aan te passen aan je gesprekspartners (zowel intern als extern) om impact te genereren.
- Om genoeg voeling te houden met de verschillende sites ben je bereid om geregeld binnen de Benelux regio te reizen.
- Je beschikt over een zeer goede kennis Nederlands en Engels. Bij voorkeur beschik je eveneens over een goede basiskennis Frans, wat jou in staat stelt dit verder te ontwikkelen met oog op een vlotte communicatie met stakeholders in België en Luxemburg.
- Je komt terecht in een wereldwijde stabiele organisatie waar snelheid, dynamiek en actie enkele kernwaardes zijn.
