About the Role
FTI Consulting Brussels is looking for several interns to join our Tech, Media and Telecoms team.
If you are looking to work in a dynamic and thriving sector team that crosses multiple issues, then this is the position for you.
In this role you will be part of a fast-growing team of experts who advise a broad range of clients at an EU, regional and global scale, active in the tech, media and telecoms space.
Thus, a strong interest and/or prior knowledge on topics such as platform regulation, cybersecurity, data privacy and protection, or AI policy among others will be a considerable advantage.
As an Intern, you will work on different client accounts, support senior colleagues, and be involved in general day-to-day support of operations.
What You'll Do
- Deliver to clients : Monitor institutional and regulatory developments; conduct policy analysis and research on relevant TMT issues; draft reports and present findings to clients; participate in strategy sessions for clients.
- Build the business: Actively supporting the daytoday work of the TMT team including keeping track of internal projects; monitoring and following relevant events; preparing internal presentations and briefings; providing support on the development of new business opportunities; among others.
- Team involvement: Work alongside senior colleagues on building development activities such as pitch preparation and delivery; manage client projects and accounts and actively drive the business forward.
- Networking: Attend relevant industry events; build a strong network within European institutions, think tanks, academia and others; and monitor developments and initiatives to flag to the team and our clients.
How You'll Grow
You will have the opportunity to work in some of the most challenging and fascinating public policy issues currently being tackled in Europe, advising a broad range of clients in the technology, media and telecommunications sector.
You will be part of a dynamic and multinational team of experts based in Brussels and you will be able to work closely with professionals within FTI Consulting's global network.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required. Studies in the fields of political science, international relations, EU policy, journalism, law or related areas are a plus.
- Proven skills and/or interest in politics, public affairs, advocacy, issues and reputation management.
- A keen interest and/or prior experience on tech, media and telecoms sector/policies.
- Proactiveness in communication and problemsolving.
- Professional demeanour and presence, including the ability to handle confidential information.
- Good organisation and presentation skills with a keenness for client and project management.
- Ability to digest and summarise information to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Team player who can deliver in a fastpaced environment.
- Resourcefulness, creativity, and intellectual curiosity.
- Excellent English with one or two additional European languages preferable.
