ALSTOM CHARLEROI – Center of Excellence for Rail Signaling Systems
The ALSTOM site in Charleroi holds unique expertise in global-level complete systems focused on signaling and railway traffic control systems, particularly complying with the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) standard. Alstom Engineering in Charleroi brings together activities aiming to deploy Alstom's Signaling solutions for customers through system design, prototyping, testing, approvals, integration projects, and after-sales/services, aligning with an ambitious R&D investment strategy.
JOB DESCRIPTION – Bid Technical Manager (BTM)
As a Bid Technical Manager, playing a vital role in the tender team, your mission is to analyze customer tender calls to define optimal technical solutions for competitive tenders and successful project execution. Collaborating within the Bid Team, you are crucial in securing bid victories by analyzing technical requirements, ensuring solutions align with Strategy and QCD objectives, validating with Technical Directors, addressing gaps, supporting compliance strategies, participating in customer meetings, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, integrating project experiences, and supporting negotiations, ensuring seamless transition post-award.
REQUIREMENTS
Education - Engineering Degree (Master equivalent or above) in fields like Industrial Computer science, Telecom, Electrical, Electronics, or Automation.
Experience – At least 5 years in the rail industry with signaling systems integration experience and international project/bid exposure.
Language – Proficient in French and English; knowledge of another language is beneficial.
Behavioral Competencies – Strong communication, interpersonal skills, creativity, curiosity, discipline, and a keenness to learn are essential.
