Inventory Accountant for the UK market.

Ghent region is currently looking for an
Inventory Accountant for the UK market.

The company is part of a large multinational holding company and distributes numerous products worldwide.

What is expected from you?
As an inventory accountant you ensure that the Company Accounts correctly reflect the Inventory Position of the Company.

This includes:

  • Follow and Manage Inventory for Stores and Warehouses in UK and Ireland in all aspects;
  • Inventory Analysis and explanation of variances;
  • Accounting for and Reporting on Shrink, damages, obsolescence, goods in transit, cycle counts, store counts, advances payments and purchase accruals related to Inventory;
  • Freight and Duty costs in Inventory value;
  • Follow up of Store and Warehouse Counts;
  • Analysis and follow up of Inventory Transactions and valuations ;
  • Liaise with Warehouse and Store Management;
  • Liaise with internal and external Audit on Inventory related topics;
  • Reporting for SOX on several inventory topics.

Requirements for the role

  • Analytical thinking;
  • Problem Solving;
  • Good Excel knowledge is a must;
  • Microsoft AX knowledge is a plus;
  • Accounting skills;
  • Planning and Organisation;
  • Fluent English, at least a good basis of Dutch;
  • Travel to

UK :
potentially 1x per quarter (for 1 or 2 days).
