You will be responsible for covering all relevant finance activities with a strong focus on financial reporting and compliance for one of our holding entities.
You have a deep knowledge of both Belgian accounting legislation and international accounting standards (IFRS).
The company itself has a strong entrepreneurial spirit with a keen motivation to play an important role in the energy transition.
Your role:
- You are responsible for the A-Z accounting for one of the holding companies
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports in accordance with Belgian accounting legislation (BE GAAP) and IFRS
- Oversee general ledger accounting, with a special focus on energy accounting
- Manage and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, reconciliation procedures and accounting
- Prepare VAT returns and income tax submissions
- Assist in the budget and forecasting process
- Perform adhoc analyses where needed
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Provide support to operational (business) teams and provide financial analysis and
Your profile:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting with a strong focus on financial
- Knowledge of Belgian accounting legislation and IFRS
- You have strong organizational and problemsolving skills and are a good communicator
- You are eager to learn and demonstrate a handson mentality
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills (both with the rest of the team and management)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems (experience in SAP is a plus)
- You are fluent in Dutch and a have a good knowledge of English
