For TME Graduate positions we are targetting recent graduates (less than 18 months of experience excluding internships)

Team/division description:


Vehicle Logistics (VLG) is responsible for the multi modal transportation of Toyota and Lexus vehicles from our Overseas - and Local Plants, to ports of export, inland compounds and/or retailers in Europe.


For those European markets where we assume responsibility until retailer delivery, our vehicles are Customised (Post Production Option Installations) and Quality checked (Pre Delivery Inspection) in our hubs, all strategically located within Europe.


Through the fundamentals of Safety and Quality, VLG's core mission is to achieve on-time and shortest possible delivery lead time to Toyota retailers in Europe.

This critical activity involves daily follow up and reporting, system enhancements and countermeasure implementation (transportation and hub workload management), from vehicle line-off to retailer delivery through Toyota Production System principles.


Your responsibilities:

1) KPI creation, maintenance and reporting:

  • Daily record, containment follow up and reporting of on-time vehicle delivery status hub x hub, at each supply chain milestone (from vehicle line off to ATA retailer).
  • Through multiple KPIs, identify Vehicle Delivery Delay Point of Cause and support Countermeasure Implementation for Hub Inbound/Outbound Transportation, Accessories Supply, Vehicle Damage, Hub Capacity, Pre-Delivery Quality Checks and Late Vehicle Distribution.
  • Follow Up on Vehicle Stock Projection and Take Necessary Actions to prevent Overflow, including Wholesales Targets Achievement.
  • Follow Up on Velocity (Lead Time Point to Point, including Hub Processing).
  • Strive for Granular Reporting (VIN x VIN, realtime) using BI tools (Power BI).

2) Kaizen:

  • Identify and coordinate implementation of improvement opportunities to tackle causes of delay and maximise lead time reduction opportunities. Document existing/new standards, in consensus with stakeholders.

Your Profile:

Background:

  • Degree in Engineering or Logistics
  • Experience in Automotive Industry is a plus

Technical Skills:

  • Strong numerical, logical and analytical skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Package User (High Excel Skills)
  • Able to create reports in Power BI
  • Ability to develop creative ways for operational improvement
  • Ability to manage operational issues
  • Fluent in English, any other European language is an asset
