Within our department Compliance with the mission of providing expert guidance and ensuring a sufficient level of monitoring, we are seeking a Compliance Expert for supporting the development of the team expertise and coaching.
The team consists of 5 colleagues who are waiting just for youResponsibilities:
As Compliance Expert your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, reviewing & implementing the necessary systems & documentation to comply with the applicable compliance framework;
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations for the insurance sector;
- Drafting and executing specific parts of the compliance monitoring and action plans;
- Contribute to the Compliance Risk Assessment and analysis;
- Monitor compliance risks in line with the Plan;
- Reporting on specific compliance risk (internal & external) and implementation of standards, following internal standards and local regulations;
- Ensuring that Athora Belgium has adequate policies and procedures in place in areas of expertise.
Profile:
- You have a university degree in Law, Economics, or Management or the equivalent experience.
- You have 3 to 5 years of experience in a legal, Compliance or control role in a financial institution (preferably a Life insurance company).
- You have excellent knowledge of French or Dutch and a good command of the other national language and are comfortable working in English.
- You are well organised, analytical and results oriented.
- You are rigorous, organised and can manage your priorities and respect tight deadlines.
- You are able to work and learn quickly and at a sustained rhythm in a dynamic environment.
- You can communicate with all kinds of interlocutor and are able to present results to senior management effectively and clearly.
- You like to rise to a challenge.
- You dare to think outside the box and do not hesitate to make suggestions.
- You are dynamic with an open mind.
