Job Description:

Your mission? ‍**As Head of Cloud Native, you will be at the heart of our team that delivers Infrastructure (Compute, Containers & Serverless), DevOps, FinOps and Security solutions to our customers. You'll define the GTM and offerings of the department, and have the responsibility of managing all engineers. Alongside Niels, our CTO, you will communicate with our customers and define what can be done with their current and future Cloud environment. You help shape their Cloud vision and how Cloud can be leveraged to tackle different business challenges. You will be supported by a team of Google Certified Project Managers and Google Cloud Architects and Engineers in order to deliver best in class projects in the emerging cloud market.

  • You design, shape and implement the offering of the Department in collaboration with the CTO, CSO and COO.
  • You are responsible for overviewing the projects of the teams from an operational, commercial and technical point of view.
  • You are a true "Leader by example" You are in constant liaison with the sales teams in terms of talent planning and project allocation
  • You lead, guide and review the salary offers before proposal and select new G Clouders within your team
  • You implement the technical priorities of the Google ecosystem, oversee running projects and provide architectural support for highend projects
  • You develop the frameworks to standardise the way of working and define best practices.
  • You define the OKR (Objectives and Key Results) of the Department and make sure individual engineers' OKRs are in line with those of the department.
  • You are proactive in project management and take technical responsibility for the Go-To Market;
  • You will manage the career paths of your teams and take actions to develop their skills
  • You position the department externally by attending/speaking at events and taking active part in the external community.
  • You are a trusted partner to your clients and colleagues, you will always find a solution

Qualifications:

Required to have?

  • You have experience in DevOps in your past position with a cloud provider
  • You have strong coding experience
  • Furthermore, you have experience automating code development into operations using continuous integration and continuous deployment tools
  • You are experienced with tools like Git, Jira, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of Gitlab CI, Spinnaker and Terraform are preferred
  • You are familiar with Agile & Scrum methodologies
  • You are not afraid to interact with senior management & customers
  • You will be a 'role model' for the more junior people in the team
  • You speak excellent English and preferably French or Dutch.
