The Mission of the role is:
The Internal Service for Prevention and Protection at work advises employees and management on the implementation of the Welfare Act.
At Univercells Group, the tasks of the prevention advisors mainly focus on occupational safety, environmental aspects, basic ergonomics, basic health, embellishing workplaces, basic occupational hygiene, and basic psychosocial concerns.
The main responsibilities of the role will be:
- Guiding, advising, facilitating, and leading all staff members with regard to the correct implementation of the Welfare Act.
- Assisting the employer, line management and personnel with drafting, programming, implementing, and evaluating the policy determined by the dynamic risk management system.
- Acting as a highly accessible independent/objective/neutral position within the organization but with a high level of expertise and insight into the issue of welfare at work.
- Collaborate with others Prevention advisors, Working across domains and bottomup to bottomdown within the company.
- Investigating and analyzing workplace accidents, incidents and dangerous situations as well as carrying out audits and site visits.
- You will participate and provide advice on risk assessment, the overall prevention plan and the annual action plan.
- You will collaborate in the implementation of preventive measures based on the risk analysis that has been carried out
- Reporting of EHS KPI, action plans, reports of activity
Your Profile is:
- Strong knowledge of EU / Belgian EHS directives and Regulations
- Scientific/Engineering background is a strong asset
- Prevention advisor level 1 or 2 degree (according to Belgian regulation) with at least 3 years of experience in similar function.
- Experience in a Lab / pharma / chemical / Industrial environment is a must
- Experience as an internal auditor and/or ISO auditor is/are a plus;
- You are an objective Wellbeing ambassador, integrity is key;
- You are empathetic, have strong communication skills and are very persuasive;
- Fluent English and French
- Risk Assessment and Risk Management knowledge
