**OVER DE UGENT**

**JOUW OPDRACHT**

U treedt op als onderzoeksexpert in het vakgebied elektrische machines. U heeft een sterke wetenschappelijke expertise in dit vakgebied, en u bent op de hoogte van de academische state-of-the-art en de industriële sector in het vakgebied.

Vanuit die expertise bent u actief betrokken bij zowel het uitschrijven als het uitvoeren van de wetenschappelijke projecten, samen met de promotoren van projecten, en in nauw overleg met de industrie en Flanders Make. Verder ondersteun je het laboratorium voor elektrische energie (EELAB) in het domein van de elektrische machines door het mee helpen opstellen van onderzoeksprojecten. Voor de uitvoering van projecten bent u het eerste aanspreekpunt. U coördineert de wetenschappelijke voortgang: hierbij stuurt u de betrokken onderzoekers aan, of voert u zelf delen van het onderzoek uit. Hiervoor is de doorgedreven technische expertise in het vakgebied van belang. U coördineert ook de verslaggeving van projecten en bespreekt de voortgang met de betrokkenen. Een probleemoplossende en inspirerende aanpak bij de begeleiding van onderzoekers, en zelfstandigheid bij het zelf uitvoeren van uitdagend wetenschappelijk onderzoek, zijn een meerwaarde om projecten succesvol te laten verlopen.

**JOUW PROFIEL**
- U hebt een diploma van Doctor op proefschrift in ingenieurswetenschappen of industriële wetenschappen, bij voorkeur werktuigkunde-elektrotechniek, elektromechanica, mechatronica, of elektrische energietechniek
- U heeft affiniteit met zowel de academische als de bedrijfssector en kan zowel zelfstandig als in teamverband kwaliteitsvolle projectresultaten realiseren met respect voor deadlines
- U heeft een sterke technische kennis, expertise en ervaring in het vakgebied elektrische machines
- U beschikt over uitgesproken communicatieve (Nederlands en Engels) vaardigheden.
- U houdt van uitdagend wetenschappelijk onderzoek, in een multidisciplinaire en internationale context.

**ONS AANBOD**
