**YOUR TASKS**

As part of the highly prestigious ERC Starting Grant URENIMOD (Ultrasound for Remote Neuroimaging and Modulation), a postdoc position is available at Ghent University from January 2025. The project aims to develop a mínimally to non-invasive treatment for focal epilepsy with ultrasound neurorecording, modulation, and deep reinforcement learning closed-loop control. The technology will be developed through detailed computer simulations and preclinical experiments.
- At least 70% of your assignment will be spent on academic research.
- You will co-supervise Ph.D. and master students within the context of the ERC-funded URENIMOD project.

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**

Profile requirements:

- You hold a thesis-based doctorate in biomedical, electrical, physics engineering, or a related field (obtained max. 6 years ago. This term of 6 years is determined by the date written on the above-mentioned required diploma).
- Scientific expertise in neural engineering as evidenced by an excellent publication track record.
- Experience with supervising master and/or PhD students.
