Training Instructor

Duties

:

• Responsible for the administration, safe operation, custody, and maintenance of the selfhelp program within the auto crafts center.
• Provides technical assistance/training to patrons in the performance of self help automotive repairs ranging from the simple to the more complex automotive including overhaul of engines and transmissions, and bodywork.
• Informs patrons _of _shop policies and provides instruction on safe and efficient operation of all equipment and associated tools.
• Provides individual and class instruction to military personnel and other eligible patrons. Develops lesson plans and prepares training aids and other instructional materials
• Provides technical guidance and leadership to employees. Trains new employees. Directs work and provides instructions on tasks. Collects fees and safeguards funds and equipment. Orders equipment and supplies.

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A probation period of one year may be required.
• Possesses satisfactory completion of preemployment background checks in accordance with AR 2153, 213, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Successfully complete a health screening. Immunizations required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials

• Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  _If authorized, only regular (fulltime, parttime, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay._ When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of nonovertime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
