Reporting to the Veterinary Science Advisor Companion Animal Health, you will provide veterinary expertise for companion animal products and markets, contributing to product development, marketing, and sales support in Belgium. This role focuses on supporting the field-based sales team and strategic development of key product areas.
Primary Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Science Liaison, your responsibilities include:
- Working closely with practices to support sales/ key accounts team;
- Developing relationships with key opinion leaders in universities and practices;
- Supporting sales managers with technical queries and training;
- Handling small animal technical queries and complaints;
- Providing specialist veterinary technical input for marketing strategies;
- Offering in-house technical training;
- Designing and managing field trials for product evaluation;
- Presenting technical information at meetings and events.
This role involves attending evening and weekend meetings and occasional travel within Belgium and abroad.
Your Profile
- Academic veterinary degree recognized in Belgium;
- 2-3 years of veterinary practice experience;
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills;
- Strong time management and prioritization abilities;
- Tactful, persuasive, and detail-oriented;
- Ability to identify and pursue business opportunities;
- Effective at operating and communicating at various levels;
- Energetic, adaptable, and a team player;
- Proficient in French, Dutch, and English.
