Team Lead Sample Handling Coordinators

In this position you will lead the team of
Sample Handling Coordinators in their daily tasks required in the Sample Handling Department.
You will ensure that key daily activities are completed while mentoring the team, driving process improvement initiatives, and supporting the Sample Handling Manager as required.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead assigned Sample Handling Coordinator Team to operate as a cohesive unit to ensure all core activities are completed.
- Lead, motivate and develop the team, set clear goals and objectives, develop supporting staff skills, and encourage growth while providing regular performance feedback.
- Cross train team members and ensure redundancy in critical activities.
- Complete formal performance feedback process as required by Human Resources.
- Onboarding training, and appropriate processes and SOP's.
- Collaborate with other team leads and department Supervisor to ensure overall department effectiveness.
- Ensure the following core team tasks are performed, in addition to all other SHC items.
- Communicate, followup and resolve sample discrepancies, with Project Management, Referral Labs, etc.
- Reconciliation of specific SHC RDA lists
- Perform end of trial checks according to the applicable procedures.
- Registration, coordination, and followup of dry ice orders (EUR Only)
- Assist with Coordinator related tasks when needed.
- QA
- Collaborate in the development of global processes and procedures including authoring SOPs.
- Preparation and participation for client or internal audits.
- Lead incident & Quality related investigations and documentation as assigned.
- Support the record keeping process.
- Provide support for the freezer temperature monitoring system (On duty service included). This includes checking alarms, ensuring proper probe placement, or any other activity to maintain system accuracy and calibration.
In order to be successful in this job you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent by a minimum of 5-7 years working experience.
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous leadership experience
- Strong problem solver
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Critical Thinking
- Works well under pressure.
- Affinity for quality
- Fluent in Dutch and English
