You will join a human-size non-profit organisation that networks entrepreneurship and innovation support organisations in Europe, develops business and innovation support programmes and services, initiates international project implementations and facilitates stakeholder collaborations in Europe and beyond.

Financial service is a transversal department which implies working with cross-functional teams in a multi-cultural context.

Job position


As a Project Financial Assistant, you will work closely with the CFO and be responsible for managing the financial aspects of multiple projects.

This includes monitoring project budgets, financial reporting, and invoicing. You will be the point of contact for providing financial insights to project managers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and organise financial data, such as invoices, receipts, and payment records to ensure accurate and uptodate information;
  • Analyse the financial data to potential risks and opportunities for improvement;
  • Assist the CFO to ensure that the project adheres to all relevant financial policies, regulations, and contractual obligations;
  • Manage the daytoday administrative tasks;
  • Plan and execute the digital transformation of the financial service in collaboration with the CFO.

Required skills:

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to collect, process and analyse data and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team and with external partners.
  • Good command of written and spoken English, and other languages is a benefit, particularly in French.

Poste

En tant que Project Financial Assistant, vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec le CFO et serez responsable de la gestion des aspects financiers de plusieurs projets. Cela comprend le suivi du budget des projets, les rapports financiers et la facturation. Vous serez le point de contact pour fournir des informations financières aux chefs de projet et autres parties prenantes.

Responsabilités principales

  • Recueillir et organiser les données financières, telles que les factures, les reçus et les enregistrements de paiement pour garantir des informations exactes et à jour ;
  • Analyser les données financières pour détecter les risques potentiels et les opportunités d'amélioration ;
  • Gérer les tâches administratives quotidiennes ;
  • Planifier et exécuter la transformation numérique du service financier en collaboration avec le CFO.

Compétences requises

  • Niveau avancé dans Microsoft Excel
  • Bonne maîtrise de l'anglais écrit et parlé, le français est un atout
  • Capacité à collecter, traiter et analyser des données et à gérer des informations confidentielles
  • Capacité à communiquer des informations financières de manière claire et concise
  • Solides compétences interpersonnelles et capacité à travailler efficacement en équipe et avec des partenaires externes

  • Connaissance de la législation belge en fiscalité

The successful applicant will contribute to the development of the EU|BIC community, Events, and EU-funded projects managed by EBN on behalf of our national and international members and partners.
