De Nationale Bank van België (NBB) zoekt een jurist(e) voor een gespecialiseerde functie in haar juridische dienst.

De juridische dienst speelt een fundamentele rol in de NBB bij de voorbereiding van het reglementaire en contractuele kader voor de monetaire beleidsinstrumenten van het Eurosysteem. Deze dienst helpt de rechtszekerheid van alle financiële taken en verrichtingen van de NBB te waarborgen en haar standpunten binnen het Eurosysteem vast te leggen. De dienst speelt ook een cruciale rol bij de ondersteuning van de operationele diensten die zijn belast met het prudentieel toezicht op de banken en andere ondernemingen van de financiële sector, alsook bij de opstelling van het voor hen geldende reglementaire kader.

De juridische dienst behandelt alle domeinen van het recht, meer in het bijzonder het financieel recht, het prudentieel recht, het vennootschapsrecht en het administratief recht, met inbegrip van juridische begeleiding bij het opleggen van administratieve sancties. De juridische instrumenten vallen onder het publiek- of het privaatrecht en zijn vaak eigen aan de NBB. Hierdoor is er nood aan juristen die in een nationale en internationale context het recht willen beoefenen op hoog niveau en daarbij streven naar excellentie.

Momenteel wordt een jurist(e) gezocht voor het domein van het prudentieel recht.


Je zal grotendeels autonoom juridisch advies verstrekken aan de organen en verschillende entiteiten van de NBB en, afhankelijk van je expertise, deelnemen aan de besprekingen over en de opstelling van de wet- en regelgeving op internationaal, Europees en nationaal niveau. Voor deze activiteiten wordt nauw samengewerkt met de ECB, andere centrale banken of toezichthouders en de Belgische en Europese wetgevende instanties.


  • je bent houder van een master in de rechten
  • je hebt minimum 5 jaar professionele ervaring, bij voorkeur met een toonaangevend advocatenkantoor of een juridische afdeling van een bank of verzekeringsmaatschappij.
  • je kunt zelfstandig, maar ook in teamverband werken
  • je bent in staat complexe problemen te analyseren en duidelijk voor te stellen
  • Je geeft blijk van een zin voor synthese en overtuigingskracht
  • Je hebt een goede beheersing (niveau B2) van het Nederlands, het Frans en het Engels, om efficiënt te kunnen zijn in een internationale context.
