Our client, a leading player in the energy transmission sector, is seeking a professional to oversee a large-scale offshore infrastructure project. This role focuses on the daily follow-up of civil and marine construction activities for an artificial island, ensuring high standards of safety and quality through the end-to-end execution phase.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a team of client representatives and project engineers to ensure smooth offshore construction operations.
  • Oversee the day-to-day follow-up of civil works, including rebar, formwork, concreting, and rock revetment activities.
  • Monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and quality control protocols of the EPC contractor.
  • Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) on-site for all construction-related activities and harbour outfitting.
  • Manage progress reporting and lead the staffing, hiring, and integration of site representatives.
  • Review method statements, risk analyses, and procedures in close collaboration with the onshore project team.
  • Identify risks and opportunities proactively while proposing and implementing effective mitigation plans.

Requirements

  • You have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
  • You bring 10+ years of relevant working experience, with a specific focus on civil construction.
  • You have experience with project management and documentation tools including MS Office and ACONEX.
  • You possess valid BOSIET (or equivalent), Boat Landing training, and a NOGEPA medical certification.
  • You're an excellent communicator with a structured approach and the flexibility to work in an offshore rotation system.
  • You are fluent in English.
  • You are based in Belgium

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in the offshore sector.
  • Working knowledge of structural and corrosion protection, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical engineering.
