Our client, a prominent organization in the public safety sector, is looking for a technical expert to support a large-scale sensor and surveillance program. This role focuses on drafting complex technical specifications and managing public tenders to ensure future-proof technological solutions for data-driven operations.

  • Draft comprehensive technical requirements and specifications for large-scale public procurement contracts involving camera systems and sensors.
  • Conduct detailed market analyses to identify existing and future solutions from global technology providers and integrators.
  • Facilitate IT workshops with multidisciplinary stakeholders to capture operational needs and define technical criteria.
  • Coordinate technical input regarding infrastructure, architecture, connectivity, and data security to ensure system compatibility.
  • Support the full tender lifecycle, including the definition of selection criteria, award methodologies, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor existing IT contracts and performance metrics to ensure alignment with contractual obligations and security standards.
  • You possess 5+ years of hands‑on experience in drafting and managing IT public procurement contracts.
  • You bring advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, connectivity, and data storage.
  • You have proven experience in defining and monitoring KPIs and SLAs within complex technology environments.
  • You possess in-depth knowledge of Belgian and European public procurement legislation.
  • You're proficient in the MS Office suite for documentation and reporting.
  • You have a proactive and solution‑oriented mindset with strong diplomatic and stakeholder management skills.
  • You are fluent in Dutch or French with active knowledge of English and passive knowledge of the other national language.

Nice to Haves

  • Familiarity with traffic safety technologies or public safety data processing.
  • Understanding of data protection regulations within a security context.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Confluence for knowledge management.
