The DoubleTree by Hilton Brussels City is looking for a Groups, Conference & Events Manager to join and strengthen its team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of high-value enquiries and be responsible for achieving conversion, revenue, and profitability targets for the Groups & Events segment, both through personal accounts and the overall department performance.

  • Respond to all meeting, group, and event enquiries; proactively identify client needs and gather the information required to develop tailored proposals (budget, objectives, history, competition, specific expectations, etc.).

  • Prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and secure contracts through a proactive sales approach.

  • Ensure the complete and accurate handover of contracted events to operational teams and maintain effective interdepartmental communication to guarantee delivery of all commitments made to clients.

  • Monitor deposits in collaboration with the Finance team and support revenue optimization in line with Yield Management principles.

  • Work closely with Operations, Reservations, Food & Beverage, Revenue Management, Finance, and Marketing teams to optimize the performance of the Groups & Events segment.

  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients, agencies, event organizers, and other key decision‑makers to drive business opportunities and customer loyalty.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and demand patterns to identify new business development opportunities.

  • Ensure data accuracy, compliance with procedures, and the quality of commercial records across all systems.

Sales Support Activities

  • Support the Sales team and the promotion of the hotel through site inspections, client meetings, trade shows, networking events, familiarization trips, and other Sales & Marketing initiatives aimed at increasing visibility, generating business opportunities, and maximizing revenue.

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Organize, coordinate, and oversee the commercial activities of the Groups & Events department.

  • Lead, coach, train, and develop team members to ensure high performance and professional growth.

  • Set priorities and monitor the achievement of individual and team sales targets.

  • Monitor and continuously improve departmental conversion ratios, identify optimization opportunities, and implement actions to maximize the conversion of enquiries into signed contracts.

  • Execute and adapt the department's commercial strategy, ensuring alignment with the hotel's priorities and budget objectives.

  • Analyze performance results and implement the actions required to achieve departmental revenue, conversion, and profitability targets.

  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, brand standards, and company commercial policies.

  • Drive continuous improvement by reviewing existing standards, keeping procedures up to date, and proposing new best practices to enhance departmental performance and efficiency.

What we are looking for

  • Excellent command of French and English OR Dutch and English. Knowledge of the third language is a real asset.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

  • A strong focus on results and customer satisfaction.

  • Excellent team spirit, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently.

  • A positive, flexible, and solution‑oriented attitude, including when market conditions are challenging.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of Hilton systems such as Delphi or OnQ is an asset.
