Handicap International ondersteunt personen met een beperking tijdens conflicten, rampen en in andere kwetsbare situaties. De ngo werkt barrières rond inclusie weg en geeft mensen hun zelfstandigheid terug. Zo strijdt ze voor een wereld waarin elke mens dezelfde rechten en kansen heeft en waarin iedereen telt, mét of zonder handicap.
Het communicatie- & fondsenwervingsdepartement van Handicap International België bestaat uit 11 personen. Ze hebben als opdracht het Belgische publiek en Belgischeinstellingen, media & donateurs te informeren over het werk van Handicap International en de waarden die de organisatie verdedigt. Het departement werft ook privéfondsen om de sociale missie van Handicap International mogelijk te maken.

De Communication Officer werkt samen met de andere collega’s van het communicatie- & fondsenwervingsdepartement (digital officer, press officer, …), de communicatiedienst van de federatie en de collega’s van de andere nationale associaties. Een samenwerking met de andere sectoren van de Brusselse zetel is ook noodzakelijk om een logische coherentie in alle externe communicatie te garanderen.

De Communication Officer NL werkt nauw samen met de Communication Officer FR en de Digital Officer. Taak 1 - Productie van redactionele inhoud in het Nederlands
- Planning & opvolging van de algemene kalender voor alle publicaties
- Realisatie van het magazine(redactiecomité, schrijven van artikels, verzamelen van illustraties, samenwerking met de externe grafisch ontwerper)
- Opmaak van het jaarverslag (redactiecomité, redactie van artikels, verzamelen van illustraties, samenwerking met de grafisch ontwerper)
- legaten, corporate, enz.): opstellen van artikels, verzamelen van illustraties, samenwerking met de externe grafisch ontwerper, toezicht op het drukwerk.
- Vertaling van inhoud uit het Frans of Engels naar het Nederlands;
- Af en toe proeflezen van Nederlandstalige documenten.

Taak 2 Verantwoordelijk voor alle contacten met externe dienstverleners (grafisch ontwerper, drukker)
- opvolging van de planning
- Taak 3 - Productie van inhoud (NL) voor digitale communicatie
- Schrijven van berichten voor social media
- Creatie van foto/video/visuals voor social media;
- Regelmatig bijwerken van de website (thematische pagina’s, nieuws ...)
Vertaling van inhoud uit het Frans of Engels naar het Nederlands;

Interne contacten met het hele netwerk van Handicap International: interne communicatiemedewerkers, het communicatie- en fondsenwervingsteam van de federatie van Handicap International, personeel van de hoofdzetel in Brussel, enz.
- Externe contacten en dienstverleners: drukker, grafisch ontwerper, vertaalbureau, ...

Uitstekende beheersing van het Nederlands;
Goede kennis van het Frans en het Engels;
Universitair/hoger onderwijs in communicatie/journalistiek (of gelijkwaardige beroepservaring);
Beheersing van elementaire kantoorsoftware (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
Kennis van Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Cloud en/of ontwerp (Canva) is een pluspunt;
Social media en digitale media hebben voor jou geen geheimen;
Omgeving Naamsepoort Brussel (met mogelijkheid tot telewerk)
