Are you a Financial Expert with a passion for numbers and strategic insight? Looking for a dynamic role with project-based work but still want the security of a permanent contract? We are currently looking for a Financial Controller for an exciting project at one of our clients—an international player in the Research and Programme Management sector.
Project Management & Delivery – Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring financial accuracy in tenders, budgets, and client reports. Provide continuous contract support and conduct financial reviews with project managers.
Financial Oversight & Reporting – Maintain financial integrity through regular project performance evaluations, tax compliance reviews, and reporting on contract work in progress and key performance indicators.
Cash Flow & Billing – Ensure accurate cash flow forecasting and timely invoicing to optimize income receipt and financial stability.
Audit & Compliance – Lead expenditure verification audits and support adherence to financial procedures, ensuring best practices within the business unit.
Business Partner Support – Assist finance business partners in implementing financial systems, providing insights at internal contract meetings, and ensuring seamless finance operations.
Process Improvement & Team Support – Drive efficiency in financial management, contribute to system enhancements, and support overall team functions with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting, Finance or similar area
Strong knowledge and experience in finance procedures and processes
Experience with expenditure verification audits
Proficient in Excel and other financial tools
A team player with an independent and proactive mindset
Excellent knowledge of French and/or Dutch with a professional knowledge of English
