As an Senior Test Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing software quality by designing, executing, and documenting test cases. You will work closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that software meets functional and non-functional requirements while maintaining high testing standards.
Your Responsibilities :
- Test Design & Execution: Develop and execute test cases covering functional and non-functional testing to ensure software reliability.
- BDD Test Automation: Design and implement Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) scenarios using Cucumber and Gherkin to facilitate collaboration between teams.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring they are properly logged, prioritized, and resolved in collaboration with developers.
- Requirement Validation: Review and challenge business rules, use cases, and acceptance criteria to enhance test coverage and overall software quality.
- Agile Collaboration: Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives, providing estimates and insights from a tester's perspective.
- Test Strategy & Coordination: Organize and manage the test case repository, ensuring consistency and alignment with project objectives. Coordinate testing efforts with business teams and external stakeholders.
- Reporting & Documentation: Generate comprehensive test reports on test coverage, defects, and software quality metrics using tools like Zephyr Scale, Jira, and Confluence.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements in testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Your skills :
- Extensive experience in manual and functional testing, including test case design, execution, and reporting.
- Strong expertise in BDD (Behavior-Driven Development), Gherkin, and Cucumber, with the ability to write clear and structured test scenarios.
- Solid understanding of testing fundamentals and methodologies (ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent knowledge).
- Experience using test management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Zephyr Scale for documentation and defect tracking.
- Knowledge of test coordination, including collaboration with business teams, developers, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and challenge acceptance criteria to improve software quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex testing concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in French is required, along with a professional working proficiency in English. A passive understanding of Dutch is a plus but not mandatory
