Role Overview The Head of IT is responsible for managing and evolving ARAG Belgium's IT landscape to ensure operational excellence, security, and scalability. This role is pivotal in positioning IT as a strategic enabler of business activities, driving innovation while maintaining robust core IT operations. Key Responsibilities IT Core Operations Excellence Ensure reliable and secure IT infrastructure, networks, and systems. Oversee service request management and guarantee high-quality IT support. Maintain compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements. Develop and enforce IT architecture principles aligned with business needs. Strategic Business Enablement Act as a trusted partner to business units, aligning IT initiatives with organizational goals. Translate business requirements into effective solutions. Drive digital transformation projects that enhance efficiency and customer experience. Innovation and Future Technologies Explore and evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, automation, and advanced analytics. Lead initiatives that leverage technology to create competitive advantages. Foster a culture of innovation within the IT team. Leadership and Team Development Manage and mentor the IT team, promoting collaboration and continuous learning. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners Be the key point of contact with Group IT organization to ensure alignment with initiatives taken at Group level and leverage those initiatives at local level Qualifications Proven experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within financial services or insurance but this is not a must Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, architecture, cybersecurity, and compliance. Demonstrated ability to position IT as a business enabler and strategic partner. Experience with digital transformation and emerging technologies (AI, cloud, automation). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Fluent in Dutch and/or French with passing understanding of the other language; English proficiency is also needed. Why Join ARAG Belgium?
