SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST - LEUVEN REGION (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITION The Supply Chain Specialist plays a key role in managing and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations to support customer demand, sales commitments, and production requirements. This position is responsible for coordinating order and sales support, executing operational purchasing activities, and ensuring material availability to enable efficient production planning. Working closely with Sales, Production Planning, Operations, and external suppliers, the Supply Chain Specialist ensures timely order fulfillment, cost-effective procurement, and balanced inventory levels. The role focuses not only on daily execution but also on continuous improvement of supply chain processes, data accuracy, and performance. The Supply Chain Specialist actively identifies risks, constraints, and optimization opportunities across demand, supply, and inventory, contributing to improved service levels, operational efficiency, and supply chain resilience. Responsibilities Manage customer orders from receipt through fulfillment, ensuring accuracy, availability, and on-time delivery Serve as a supply chain liaison for Sales, providing clear visibility on lead times, inventory levels, and delivery feasibility Translate sales demand into supply and material requirements while highlighting constraints and risks Support order prioritization and allocation decisions during capacity or supply limitations Execute day-to-day purchasing of raw materials, components, and operational supplies in alignment with demand and production plans Create, maintain, and track purchase orders, ensuring supplier confirmations, delivery dates, and quantities are met Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, and material master data within ERP/MRP systems Proactively resolve supply disruptions, shortages, and delivery delays in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders Ensure timely availability of materials and components to support production schedules Collaborate with Production Planning to align purchasing activities with capacity plans and manufacturing priorities Support planning for demand changes, new product introductions, and engineering or specification changes Identify and mitigate material-related risks that could impact production continuity or efficiency Analyze inventory levels, demand variability, and supplier performance to identify improvement opportunities Support initiatives to optimize inventory, reduce lead times, and improve service levels while controlling costs Track and report key supply chain KPIs, including service level, inventory turnover, and supplier reliability Contribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at strengthening planning accuracy, purchasing efficiency, and overall supply chain performance Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field Experience in supply chain, purchasing, planning, or operations (level adjusted based on role seniority) Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, and supply chain planning principles Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel usage Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills The Offer: A permanent, full-time employment contract A salary & benefits package commensurate with experience Please send over your CV to tom.walker@vividresourcing.com or call me on +32 (0) 3 318 00 74.
