Nexeo Belgium is a consulting company supporting clients in the banking, finance, and insurance sectors throughout all stages of transformation projects — from business consulting to IT solution implementation. We are currently looking for a Business Analyst to join one of our clients in the banking sector, within the Risk & Credits Tribe, focusing on the Risk Cluster, which manages the setup of risk data and calculation infrastructure. Your role: As a Business Analyst, you will support squads on key initiatives aimed at enhancing the risk infrastructure: Immovable Asset Data Management: Assist in migrating an aging mainframe application to a new Java-based distributed application, supporting new requirements such as ESG. Professional Loan Credit Acquisition: Participate in the development of a new credit origination tool that replaces three legacy applications, supporting front-office activities for professional credits, from small businesses to large corporates. Key responsibilities: Translate end-user requirements into clear business requirements. Collaborate with developers to ensure deliverables meet expectations, including code reviews and white-box testing. Use SQL to analyze data, define use cases, and verify results across the full portfolio. Document detailed use cases and expected system behavior. Support functional and non-functional requirement definition and development follow-up. Profile: Experience & Skills: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst in large-scale IT projects. Experience supporting development squads in agile environments. Functional and technical analysis skills. Medium experience with SQL and standard MS tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Testing and validation experience. Preferable: experience with Java, JSON/REST, Java development frameworks, MQ Series/Kafka, complex security configuration, or credit/credit risk knowledge (Basel III). Education & Language: University degree preferred, strong math skills. Languages: Fluent in English, plus good knowledge of Dutch or French. Soft skills: Team player with proactive, self-starting attitude. Strong communication and influencing skills. Analytical, precise, and quality-oriented. Able to work independently and in a dynamic, multi-cultural environment.
