Buyer - 3-6 Month Contract - Charleroi, Walloon Province
Are you local to Charleroi, looking for your next short-term contract, and would like the opportunity to work alongside a global biologics leader with state-of-the-art facilities? We are recruiting for a Buyer to join our client to manage purchases and lead procurement activities on behalf of our client, supporting their mission to provide comprehensive solutions from development and manufacturing to fill/finish packaging.
**Buyer Responsibilities**:
Assure the compliance to client policy and values.
Maintain close connection with the operations (supply chain, production, QC).
Lead procurement activities in order to supply all products and goods necessary.
Manage internal requirements such as "Change Control", and "Master data".
Develop key supplier relationships and leads business review meetings.
Coordinate and drive RFP’s / RFI’s process for local and global initiatives.
Support global procurement initiatives and lead site-level initiatives for supplier management, supplier quality and supplier performance improvement.
Invite suppliers to provide solutions and cost proposals for business requirements, evaluate proposals, make supplier recommendations, select suppliers, award business, and handle contracts for key stakeholders.
Negotiate supply agreement, pricing on combined volumes of purchases at various locations with industry leading suppliers to reduce the cost of goods and overheads.
Prioritize savings opportunities and take a unified approach with our various purchasing locations globally or regionally to meet with the potential suppliers and get the lowest possible total cost to deliver cost savings.
Provide monthly reporting.
**Buyer Requirements**:
Master’s degree in Business, Economics or another relevant field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the relevant field.
Excellent writing and speaking skills in French and English.
Knowledge of purchasing good practices.
Ability to effectively negotiate stakeholder relationships, including suppliers, staff members and clients.
