Our **Internal Market & Consumers Team** has a high-profile, expanding project portfolio including for the European Commission and its agencies across a range of policy topics such as SMEs & entrepreneurship, industry & sustainability, digital markets, consumer empowerment & awareness & safety. We currently run projects and framework contracts for DG GROW, DG JUST, EISMEA, the EP IMCO and ITRE committees and others. Our success is due to our excellent team of consultants and researchers and we are now looking to strengthen our team with the appointment of Senior Consultant who will be focussing on qualitative and quantitative policy research and analysis.
Role description:
We are looking to recruit a Senior Consultant to strengthen the team. Senior Consultant will contribute to implementing projects for our core clients in the area of the internal market and consumers, in line with our vision, mission and values. As Senior Consultant you will:
- have proficiency in collecting and analysis qualitative and quantitative data by means of desk research, interviews, surveys etc.;
- organise and coordinate specific contracts (guiding, and ensuring the quality of the desk research and analysis, surveys, interviews, etc.);
- Contribute/lead the preparation of proposals;
- Develop data collection guides, questionnaires or research templates;
- Coordinate staff including briefing, reviewing and coaching;
- Communicate with clients and managing clients’ expectations.
Who we are looking for:
You have 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position;
- You have been working with the EU’s clients, both involved in the development of proposals and in research and/or consulting role;
- You have strong self-motivation and an ability to lead and motivate colleagues;
- You have proven analytical skills and an ability to tailor the results of the analysis to individual clients;
- Ability to write and communicate with clients, partners, experts and colleagues in excellent English;
- Ability to take initiatives and work in an autonomous way;
- A relevant master’s degree.

- EU Observatory of Payments in Commercial Transactions (“EU Payment Observatory”);
- Preventing cyber-theft of trade secrets: awareness toolkit for SMEs;
- Study on European consumers’ over-indebtedness and its implications, for DG JUST/EISMEA;
- Behavioural study on the assessment of a lawbot assisting consumers on online dispute resolution, for DG JUST/EISMEA;
- Study of consumer education initiatives in EU Member States, for DG JUST/EISMEA;
- Study to identify local initiatives to provide advices to consumers, for DG JUST/EISMEA;
- Study to support the Fitness Check of EU consumer law on digital fairness, for DG JUST;
- Evaluation of Consumer Protection Cooperation;
- Study on the feasibility of possible initiatives at EU on quality of tourism accommodation services, for DG GROW;
- Study on territorial supply constraints in the EU retail sector, for DG GROW;
- Study assessing the challenges and opportunities for market surveillance activities in relation to new technologies and digital supply chain, for DG GROW;
- E-commerce and the EU green deal: analysing the environmental footprint of online sales in the context of the circular economy, for EP IMCO Committee;
- The effect of communication and disinformation during the covid-19 pandemic; for EP IMCO Committee;
- The impact of COVID-19 on the Internal Market, for the EP IMCO Committee; for EP IMCO Committee;
- Online advertising: the impact of targeted advertising on advertisers, market access and consumer choice, for the EP IMCO Committee;
- Study on the impact of influencers on advertising and consumer protection in the single market, for the EP IMCO Committee.
