Sibelco is a global material solutions company. We mine, process and sell industrial minerals at locations worldwide, focused primarily on silica, clays, feldspathics and olivine. Role Purpose:
As director of the Global Controlling Team, this role will be responsible for:
- Leading the controlling department of the group, coaching and developing new team members- Aligning the reporting landscape to support the recent changes/developments/requirements in the business- Responsible for the yearly budget exercise and for creating a new quarterly forecasting process of the group- Responsible for the strategy (from a business perspective) in terms of management information/reporting and business intelligence- Partnering with the consolidation team to build cohesive reporting sets that support analysis and insights- Developing new solutions to business challenges by not only developing new reports but also ensuring data quality and proper set up of systems to support the analysis needs- Creating financial models for scenario creation and business cases
Responsiblities:
1) Reporting:
- Define the reporting strategy and structure- Support and initiate the creation and enhancement of PowerBI reports
2) Management reporting & Analysis:
- Implement sustainable process of reporting and KPI dashboards that provides quality, actionable information to all leaders within Sibelco
3) Budget: Defining the process of the yearly budget exercise and the new quarterly forecasting process of the group- Determine the scope of the budget/forecast exercise- Ensure timely and correct reporting of the budget/forecast by the business units/regions- Responsible for proper follow up and reporting of the budgeted and forecasted figures
4) People management: Lead, coach and develop the functional team:
- Ensure the development of the capabilities in the team- Create team spirit and stimulate empowerment and collaboration across groups
5) Business partnering- Work closely with Commercial, Operations and other functions and with the sub-region Finance directors to serve them in terms of management information/reporting and Business intelligence
About you:
- Studies in Business Administration/ Economics/ Commercial Sciences or other relevant field- +8 years experience in finance, accounting, consolidation and reporting- English - proficient verbal & writing- Other languages are an asset
