Als Climate/Environment Expert ga je aan de slag bij het Sustainability-team om te werken aan de duurzaamheidsstrategie van Ethias, en meer specifiek aan het strategische onderdeel “Klimaat & Milieu”.
Het milieubeleid van Ethias richt zich op 4 ambitieuze domeinen:
Netto nul bereiken ;
Haar andere effecten op de natuur meten en verminderen ;
Haar klanten helpen, analyseren en begrijpen zodat zij zich kunnen aanpassen aan de klimaatrisico's ;
Haar ontwikkeling voortzetten in harmonie met haar omgeving.
Om deze strategie uit te rollen en de verschillende projecten die eruit voortvloeien te sturen, zijn we op zoek naar een nieuwe collega die gemotiveerd is om deel uit te maken van een klein maar dynamisch team waar samenwerking hoog in het vaandel staat. Een persoon met een passie voor milieu
- en klimaatkwesties, die transversaal kan werken en in contact staat met verschillende departementen en directies binnen de onderneming.
Als Climate/Environment Expert begeleid je Ethias bij de verdere ontwikkeling van een natuurpositieve strategie, vertegenwoordig je Ethias op bepaalde externe seminaries en bijeenkomsten over topics die verband houden met de milieustrategie en speel je een actieve rol bij het opmaken van de koolstofbalans.
Je neemt ook de lead voor de milieu
- en klimaataspecten bij de verschillende ESG-ratings, inclusief het beheer van de CDP-rating, en dit in nauwe samenwerking met de betrokken directies/collega's. Tot slot zorg je voor rapporten en KPI’s over de sustainability-governance van de onderneming.
Welke vaardigheden en talenten breng jij mee naar Ethias?
- Je hebt een masterdiploma in milieumanagement of gelijkwaardig met minstens 7 jaar ervaring in functies waar consultancy, analyse en projectmanagement aan bod komen. Kennis over de financiële of verzekeringswereld is een pluspunt voor ons.
- Duurzaamheid, klimaatkwesties zoals decarbonisatie, biodiversiteit, milieueffecten in de breedste zin van het woord (afval, water, vervuiling...)... dat is jouw passie.
- Het managen van transversale projecten heeft geen geheimen voor jou.
- Volledig autonoom werken is geen enkel probleem. Maar ook in teamverband is prima voor jou En vooral in een multi-tasking en multidisciplinaire werkomgeving waar prioriteiten snel evolueren en soms kunnen veranderen.
- Je kent uit je hoofd - of toch bijna - de TCFD- en TNFD-referentiekaders, SBTi en SBTN, de huidige Europese regelgevingen rond duurzaamheid, zoals de CSRD, de EU Taxonomie en de CSDDD.
- Mensen zeggen dat je een goede communicator bent.
- Motivatie, goed humeur, empathie, enthousiasme, dynamiek, een glimlach en proactiviteit zijn essentieel Humor ook.
- Je spreekt vloeiend Nederlands of Frans, je hebt een zeer goede kennis van de andere taal en van het Engels.
