**Executive Communications Lead EMEA&AP**

**Overview**

Are you experienced in developing communications strategy, creating compelling content, and identifying the optimal tone, message and channel for your audiences? Do you enjoy working with technology executives to create scripts, presentations and bylines that are insightful and inspiring?

If so, the SAS Executive Communications team has a place for you.

As a Communications Specialist, you will collaborate with SAS leadership and internal and external stakeholders to amplify executive voices, corporate messaging and thought leadership. Through your creative writing and sound guidance, you will help executives effectively inform and connect with internal and external audiences and promote SAS’ brand awareness and reputation.

This role is for a communicator who has experience in crafting, vetting and customizing content to fit the audience and the executive’s voice and style. You’ll work both individually and collaboratively to develop and execute communications.

**Primary responsibilities will include**:

- Create internal and external communication plans and messaging for SAS executives and work with them to deliver messages using the optimal style, format and channel.
- Write, edit and collaborate on articles, scripts, talking points, blog posts, and other content as needed.
- Develop and review corporate communications and executive messages related to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
- Design and execute internal communications strategies to align with corporate goals and initiatives.
- Collaborate with various SAS teams to ensure that communication initiatives align with global messaging frameworks and timelines.
- Consult on social media strategy and craft content in alignment with executive thought leadership platforms and corporate communication goals.
- Manage content for company-wide communications, including divisional and internal town halls.
- Monitor and report impact of communications through surveys and other performance measurements.

**Essential**
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in journalism, marketing, public relations or related discipline.
- Solid experience in corporate or marketing communications or related function in the technology or other business-to-business industry.
- Superlative written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences.
- Experience with modern communications strategy, practices and channels with attention to the needs of the intended audience(s).

**Additional**
- Experience with executive communications programs - both internal and external - including speech and script writing and communications coaching.
- Experience creating communications for multi-media with a strong sensibility for visual presentation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build strategic working relationships with executives and all levels of the organization.
- Experience with change management and strategic communications plan development and execution.
- Familiarity with social media communications channels; ability to integrate these channels into plans and strategies to achieve stated goals.
- Media relations experience, including pitching executives for external speaking engagements and preparing executives for media engagements.
- Project management, event planning and meeting facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of communication concepts/functions and software tools (Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Creativity and the ability to multi-task to manage multiple projects at once.
