We are hiring an **IT Expert (ITE)** for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) **in Brussels**. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Main Responsibilities

As **IT Expert (ITE)** you will be responsible for:
- Collaborate in the drafting of the future IT solution architecture blueprint of ESSPASS - more specifically, related to posted workers and the European Health Insurance Card
- Co-develop the IT solution following the directions of the Project Manager and the EBSI team from DIGIT.D3
- Provide guidance to developers and testers
- Provide overall support to the solution developed
- Provide systems processing guidance
- Participate in the preparation and performance of events aimed at providing information to the ESSPass stakeholders in the Commission, the participating Member States, Users groups and other organisations
- Report to the hierarchy of the IT unit and participate in the reporting to the Business unit
- Evaluate systems for discrepancies or vulnerabilities
- Conduct research to find ways to improve operations

**LEVEL OF EDUCATION**
- Master’s level or 5 years of higher education.
**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:_
- Very good knowledge of Distributed Ledger Technologies and Wallet concepts. A sound knowledge of EBSI will be considered as an asset.
- Very good knowledge of authentication, authorisation mechanisms as well as certificates management. A sound knowledge of EU-Login and EU SIGN will be considered as an asset.
- Very good knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud environment
- Self-motivated and autonomous, with ability to manage and follow up on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills, ability to approach problems from multiple angles and find creative solutions
- Proven capacity to analyse complex information, to consider options in a clear and structured way, to propose and implement recommendations and to make sound decisions
- Ability to work effectively both with team members and with customers
- Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines, to make timely decisions, to reprioritize tasks responding to changes in a rapidly evolving work environment
- Good knowledge of Docker and containerization technology such as Kubernetes
- Good knowledge of GITHUB
- Good knowledge of the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Butler, Bitbucket)
- Good knowledge of Java, Angular, Spring, REST, Kafka, Hibernate, Javascript, NodeJS, MongoDB
- Good knowledge of agile development methodology
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team
- Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
- Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects
- Excellent Team Player
- Ability to understand, speak and write English at level C2 will be an advantage
**SPECIFIC EXPERTISE**:
- Following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:_
- Knowledge of the Social Security business context in the European Union in particular for what relates to the posted workers legislation and the European Health Insurance Card
