**Team description**
Sustainability and ESG Management (S&ESG) Group mission is to improve structurally our management and coordination of our contribution to society, fostering a culture of sustainable development at Toyota in Europe. This group acts as a central hub within the TME organisation to support strategy development and centrally coordinate sustainability and ESG related activities across the company and externally. This group aims at embedding sustainability into all dimensions of Toyota’s business, improving actions on sustainability, identifying the priorities, and engaging all stakeholders for a positive impact.
Sustainable development means meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, and it is linked to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals defined by United Nations. ESG stands for Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) and refers to the three central factors in measuring the sustainability and societal impact of an investment in a company or business.
**Your responsibilities**
We are seeking a passionate team member to support TME’s ESG reporting and disclosure activities with an immediate focus on EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) but not limited to it.
Reporting to Manager ESG Reporting, you will support development and implementation process for overall ESG reporting and disclosure with a specific focus on Social and Governance data (KPIs/ narratives).
- ** Acting as a knowledge database for latest ESG reporting and disclosure trends**:
- By analysing Toyota’s ESG disclosure globally (including TMC’s Sustainability Data Book, TMC’s Integrated report, TMC’s and TMNA’s Corporate website etc.).
- By analysing competitor’s (and other relevant companies) disclosure and best practice for all Env Data (KPI’s/ narratives).
- By monitoring NMSCs reporting/ disclosure and understanding country specific trends.
- By analysing all EU Disclosure requirements with immediate focus on Sustainability Reporting Standard (ESRS) Social and Governance data requirements and clarifying/ confirming requirement to Toyota in alignment with EGA (e.g. contact with EFRAG (European Financial Reporting Advisory Group), JBCE (Japan Business Council in Europe)).
- By understanding EU Customers/ Fleet Customers/ NGOs/ Investor’s/ Other Stakeholder requirement trend via TME Sales, ESG Coordination, Investor Relation team in London etc.
- Working together with ESG Reporting team to feed trends into TME’s Reporting and disclosure Roadmap.
- ** Supporting implementation of TME’s ESG reporting and disclosure Roadmap**
- Support the establishment and implementation for TME’s ESG reporting and disclosure Governance & Operating Model (immediate focus ESRS Social and Governance KPIs) together with Deloitte Belgium, key TME divisions (e.g. Legal, Risk & Audit, HR, Sales, Network, Value Chain) and other TME Group (NMSCs, EMCs, TLSCs) entities as relevant. (Including mapping of clear roles and responsibilities, person(s) in charge and cascade across TME Group).
- Together with TME IT, support development and deployment of tools required for effective and accurate reporting of Social and Governance data and assure any relevant IT system rollout within TME Group.
- Together with Risk & Audit, support 3rd party assurance process for Social and Governance data (in line with legal and/or TMC requirements).
- ** Managing content overview and development for all Social & Governance Data (KPIs/ narratives)**
- Assuring content for all Social and Governance KPIs, processes and narratives required for effective and accurate reporting including data auditability and source (including with TMC, TME Group, other as relevant).
- Support development with IT&D, tools to enable efficient input, centralisation, search for data and identify data use cases for future business insights (e.g. within business strategy development).
