Will you make a difference within KdG's International Office facilitating international exchange? Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for the organisation and follow-up of administrative and organisational processes during students’ study abroad experience, both within Erasmus+ and other exchange programmes. We monitor this exchange experience via the Mobility Online web tool, and took the first steps towards complete digitalistion (cf. Erasmus Without Paper project).

To guide students and colleagues through this digitalization and optimization process, we are temporarily looking for an enthusiastic International Office staff member.

Your role?
- As Mobility Officer you help create lean processes within the Erasmus+ mobility administration, and you liaise well with colleagues within the International office,with colleagues in our study programmes and services, and with external providers and international partners.
- You flag opportunities and needs proactively to improve the services of the International Office, with special focus on further digitalisation of existing procedures in support of international mobility of students and staff members. You follow up on new (external) developments in the field (e.g. Erasmus Without Paper, Digital Learning Agreements).
- You convert external guidelines into internal procedures, in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- You provide correct data to report the international mobilities both internally and externally, making use of different reporting tools (e.g. National Erasmus Agency, Flemish government).
- You actively share your knowledge with colleagues, both nationally and internationally.

You work on Campus Zuid (but you can work remotely regularly), and report to the head of Internationalisation, Sofie Schoonbaert.

Your profile?
- Beating the system is second nature to you. You don’t give up easily, look for solutions and identify points for improvement.
- You are interested in gaining an in-depth understanding of the Mobility Online tool and the administrative procedures relating to the mobility of students and staff members.
- You like data and have experience working with spreadsheets (e.g. Excel) and importing/exporting data between different tools.
- You don’t mind repetitive work requiring precision, brainwork and patience.
- You have strong analytical thinking skills. Technical knowledge is an asset.
- You can plan your work independently and tackle various problems following deadlines and opportunities. You use a systematic approach. Project management experience is an asset.
- You have a good set of soft skills (such as communication skills and customer focus) that helps you in your social interactions, both live and digitally.
- You are proficient in Dutch and English (both verbal and written). Knowledge of other languages (for communication with international education partners) is relevant but not a must-have.
- You are honest and critical in your self-assessment: you reflect on your actions to improve your professional practice.
- You are a committed team player.

In addition, you hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience[1].

- A part-time assignment as a contractual employee. You start on 1 september 2024 (at the latest) with an (ad interim) contract that runs until 30 June 2024.

- Benefits such as flexible working hours, hybrid work (optional), a laptop (from 30% contract), a nice number of vacation days (45 days for a full-time contract) and optional hospital insurance at a favourable price.
- We reimburse 100% of your travel expenses if you use public transport for your commute. You will be paid a €0.23/km bicycle allowance if you commute by bike.
