**The Role**:
The CFO/FD will play a critical role in developing and implementing financial resources and operations to maximize the commercial success of the Company. As a member of the leadership team, the CFO/FD will help to develop and manage the strategic financial and operational objectives BCW Brussels. Our business operations and finance function are designed to support growth, for our people, our clients, and the company itself.

**What you’ll do as you move with us**:

- lead and manage the finance team and create opportunities for long-term career development for all members of the team.
- collaborate closely with other functions - Talent Management, Administration, Marketing - and drive change and improvements throughout the Company.
- actively contribute to and be part of the leadership team and provide strategic and operational leadership and counsel on finance and commercial issues.
- work in partnership with the business teams to set and execute a commercial strategy including but not limited to pricing, contract negotiation, profitability analysis.
- evaluate and provide recommendations for the entire financial reporting and forecasting process, with a focus on increasing process efficiencies and standardized reporting.
- develop and scale tools and systems - and leverage technology - to provide and scale critical financial and operational information to the management and business teams.
- oversee the development of operating and capex budgets and financial plans, including the responsibility to maintain forecast and track actual results and ensure management decisions are based on forecasts and analyses.
- manage working capital and forecasting.
- responsible for the implementation of accounting policies and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and Internal and External Audit Reports and local reporting requirements.
- set targets and monitor performance against financial and operational targets; help manage financial performance and ensure appropriate and timely action is taken.
- manage the financial and commercial operations to ensure alignment and support of business objectives and profitable growth.
- manage investment needs of the Company.
- lead compensation and benefits modelling, planning and execution, including but not limited capacity analysis and staffing requirements, salary and benefit optimization and reviews to attract and retain talent.
- collaborate closely with members of the Regional/Worldwide headquarters finance group.

**Experience that contributes to your success**:
The Chief Financial Officer/Finance Director will be a growth-oriented leader with extensive years of finance experience. She/he must have acquired the skills and experience to be able to lead the financial function within a fast paced, rapid growth environment and be capable of making actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, MBA or ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualifications or relevant experience
- Experience in a professional service business that operates within a complex holding company environment.
- Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
- Strategic with a service-oriented (internal and external) mindset.
- A commercial mindset, who looks for opportunities to grow the business through scaling operational excellence.
- Proven track record of managing and leading through organizational change.
- Knowledge of Belgian accounting standards and employment law.
