**The Role**

The Practice leader FL/FI Belux (Financial Lines and financial institutions) will be responsible for providing advice, as well as the negotiation of placement terms and claims settlements, on all Financial Lines and financial institutions classes of insurance (D&O, Cyber, Crime, Fiduciary, FI E&O, Employment Practices Liability) for Clients of Willis Towers Watson across BELUX. The Senior Broker will provide technical knowledge and expertise to WTW colleagues, and will engage in servicing and advising prospects and clients with regards to placements and satisfactory claim settlement negotiations. S/he will assist in the management of the Financial Lines portfolio and also work on all Financial Lines products as required. S/he will provide advisory services to clients directly or through account executives, and will negotiate with insurers to obtain best terms, conditions, coverage and pricing for clients. Additionally, this role will require participation to overall FINEX/WTW growth efforts, including participation in RFPs, new business presentations/prospecting, M&A due diligence and prospect auditing. Essential Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

- Understand the clients’ business and their risk management needs and look for solutions to deliver those needs through the provision of ongoing service
- Gathering information to assess and evaluate client risks in order to support the placement of client risks into the market.
- Keeping up to date on market solutions in order to learn how to identify and develop optimum risk solutions for clients.
- Identify primary budget holders and decision makers within clients, establish and maintain active relationships with these people
- Draw on expertise within specialist technical teams within the BU and across the Group for clients as required
- Determine appropriate solutions, structure, price and placement strategies that meet the clients’ needs and deliver profitable business for a range of clients
- Grow existing portfolio by identifying new from existing opportunities
- Maintain effective working relationships with Claims Advocates to effectively deliver clients’ needs
- Business Development: To actively drive the sales process in relation to winning, retaining and developing profitable new clients Are we envisaging giving Tim a new business target?
- Placement Management: To deliver optimisation of revenue from new and existing clients using the full range of appropriate placement channels and
- Drive LoB P&L in relevant geography / region
- Manage LoB pipeline and sales opportunities
- Drives geographic value proposition and IP / product development
- Work with other geographic / regional LoB heads within CRB
- Ensuring that quality and compliance procedures and processes are adhered to.
- Participating on complex new business placement, renewals and audits of existing cover
- Recording all information accurately on the appropriate systems.
- Co-ordinating with client advocates from other departments that support the broking process
- Building technical skills by satisfactorily completing intermediate training courses as required.
- Mentoring & training BELUX FINEX colleagues.
- Providing as second set of eyes analysis with respect to quotes against specifications, and binders against quotes.
- Checking all policy documentation including policy endorsements, renewal binders, and corrections and send to account managers once correct
- Supporting and building on local and national relationships with carriers
- Creating client renewal strategy presentations, and attending client meetings as required
- Working with carriers to establish proprietary market/WTW offerings and wordings
