As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you are responsible for the daily follow-up of outstanding customer invoices. You process incoming payments, immediately identifying which customers need reminders or phone contact. Additionally, you also monitor the proper resolution of disputes. You regularly provide reports to the direct supervisors of the relevant internal departments. Together as a team, you discuss the status of outstanding amounts and take further action when necessary. Finally, your responsibilities also include our overseas agents and the intercompany scenario. Specifically, you review whether the outstanding amounts match for these partners (customer/supplier) and take appropriate action if needed. You report to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor.
**KNOWLEDGE IS POWER**:
We are looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. First financial or accounting experience is necessary, along with common sense and an independent mindset. Knowledge within logistics (Freight Forwarding) is a plus for this role. You have strong PC skills (especially in Excel and Outlook) and can express yourself very well in Dutch, English, and French. You are communicative and don't hesitate to contact customers or colleagues from relevant departments. You work with great precision and take the necessary responsibility. You are not afraid to pursue matters and enjoy working in a team.
