Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
- This a hybrid role sitting across the Marketing and Sales teams. With a direct reporting line to the Key Account Manager on the running category, working with our strategically identified wholesale partners to support the execution of marketing activations and sales analytics and administration to drive business performance.
The activations side of the role aims to drive brand engagement and commercial return through our strategic partners as aligned to the market category strategy. It involves supporting the Wholesale Activations Manager to land brand campaigns, drive the seeding strategy, develop bespoke consumer and platform relevant content, working with communities and Sports Marketing partners and activating at relevant events.
The Sales side of the role aims to support the commercial function with specific emphasis on analysis of sales data and improvement of the operational arm of the WHS function. Responsibility of reporting functions is focused on specific running specialist customers with the intention of building and implementing reports and strategies feeding into the wider category growth objectives of the North business.
We’re looking for passionate individuals with a proactive attitude. The role requires the ability to work cross-functionally, communicate effectively and work to tight deadlines.- Key Responsibilities:
- Represent assigned customers internally as 'ambassador for the category' to all functions and vice versa and manage interfaces.
- Drive the execution of a product seeding strategy to drive brand engagement and product authentication.
- Support development and delivery of Wholesale Activation account marketing plans with identified strategic partners to drive brand engagement and orderbook conversion.
- Develop clear and concise category and account briefs to global/European Activations teams and local agencies to ensure market/account requirements are met.
- Support budget tracking and monthly forecasting.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance reviewing key objectives and KPIs vs ROI. Sharing key learnings with stakeholders.
- Support sales team in delivering commercial objectives.
- Retrieve, build and analyse sales data.
- Support build of category strategies and reports
- Interpret and glean actionable insights from customers (and data)
- Track and report on Trade Investment implementation
- Support sales team in driving market share
- To establish a collaborative, cooperative team culture and fulfilment of company values
- Leverage market insights using knowledge of competitive landscape & trends in relevant distribution channels to influence buying decisions leading to adidas sales & growth.
- Proactively develop, manage and execute creative grassroots activities with customers to enhance brand image as well as drive demand with customers (generating sales growth)

- Very good commercial knowledge and business acumen
- Negotiation and (re)presentation skills and confident manner

- Strong team player with the proven ability to work cross-functionally in order to achieve objectives and targets
- Ability to influence business partners in other functional areas to build consensus and understanding
- Understanding of retail sales practices and ability to create practical and logical assortment plans based on selling space, inventory turns and sell through.
- Mental flexibility, self-initiative, and determination
- Fluency in English and French (written and spoken) mandatory; additional languages are an advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office package, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel
- Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in business administration or sports economics (preferably Bio-mechanics; Sport Science and business administration)
- 1-3 years working experience in Sales department, ideally in the running industry.
- Passion for running category.
