- This team is responsible for providing and advising higher management with financial insights to improve decision making, e.g. on investments, product innovations, budgets, opportunities, etc._ _Together, you lead & coordinate the budgeting process and strategic & financial projects._
**About the job**
In this role as FP&A Controller, you report directly to the EU4 FP&A Manager who is responsible for cash and overheads. You ensure a complete and qualitative delivery in time of the management reporting and contribute to the definition of the business objectives. You liaise with different teams (e.g. Finance, HR, Operations) and are the sparring partner for the business (management and the internal stakeholders of Alpro and Danone).
Your key responsibilities include:
- **Budgeting and forecasting**: You support the budgeting process and the strategic planning, to edit the divisional budget and the financial forecasts. You follow up the financial results with regards to the budget in order to organize the activities of the company.
- **Reporting**: You produce, analyze and report on financial information at divisional level (balance scorecards, overhead related KPI's, etc.), to perform financial & ad hoc analyses, to explain differences in results and to comment results, evolution of financial KPI's and important business drivers. Doing so, you provide on time the accurate and relevant information to the management, while taking ownership of the figures reported.
- **Procedure definition**: You evaluate existing internal reporting processes and procedures and to recommend improvements, in order to manage the risks and to ensure compliancy.
- **Business Acumen**: You have a general understanding of business principles and together with your manager, you develop an integrated view on the financial activities, based on a detailed interpretation of the business results, in order to help the (top) management in making thoughtful business decisions.
- **Improvement and Business development projects**: you lead projects related to the financial reporting processes, in order to ensure continuous improvement within divisional controlling and by doing so to optimize the financial support to the management.
About you
To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:
- A Master Degree in e.g. Economics, Business Engineering, Finance, etc. or equivalent through experience.
- At least 2-3 years of experience, within a financial department. Experience in business/commercial/operations/FP&A controlling is a plus.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience with reporting tools is a plus.
- You are fluent in English. Dutch and/or French is an asset.
