**YOUR TASKS**- At least 90% of your assignment will spent on academic research in preparation of a doctoral dissertation.Electrification of heat for the food industry, project 'Rethink Energy 4 Food’. The techno-economic aspects and divisions of electrification of heat with different technologies (MVR, heat pump, e-boiler) will be examined. From this, a methodology will be developed to match given energy requirements and processes with the right technology through a techno-economic analysis. The methodology will be validated via two actual demonstration cases in industry.-
- Industrial heating, cooling technology and natural refrigerants (Flux50, Koelplatform). Experimental research at component level (heat exchanger, expander, compressor) is carried out on natural refrigerants propane, water, ammonia and CO2.- **WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**- You hold a thesis-based doctorate of electromechanical engineering (obtained max. 5 years ago. This term of 5 years is determined by the date written on the above-mentioned required diploma).-
- You have a strong motivation for conducting scientific research and/or project-based research and services.-
- You have experience in the research field of thermal energy.-
- You have project management skills.-
- You communicate fluently and clearly in English.-
- You have an open personality and willing to contribute to the operations and targets of the team..

**WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU**- We offer you a contract of indefinite duration with a maximum term of 4 years.-
