**Sr. Data Translator**

Carrefour Belgium is committed to an ambitious plan to transform and modernize the technological landscape. Our innovative data organization is a key part of this, focused on creating value from data, leveraging analytics capabilities to improve our business and create new opportunities.
This is why the Data Insight Team is looking for a Data Translator (M/F), who will be able to combine both a good knowledge of the retail domain and an expertise in terms of data analysis.

**As such, you will have the following missions**:

- Act as main point of contact for your business team/domain and help them to identify, express and prioritize their game-changing data use cases
- Support to business teams in translating their business questions/data use case into actionable reporting / analytics
- Perform impact analysis and translate those reporting / analytics needs into Data Requirements
- Perform exploratory data analysis and deliver curated data/insights to the business in the most adapted format for their usage (dashboard, self service BI, datasets,...)
- Liaise and bring relevant IT teams (DWH developers, Data Engineers,..), DataViz expert and Data Scientist team to ensure delivery of the end to end solution ( data ingestion, advanced dataviz, EDW extension, Data models,...).
- Perform change management with business teams to ensure the delivered solutions are correctly understood and used
- Liaise with Data Governance team in order to maintain a proper governance of the reporting assets, KPIs and business glossary under his scope of responsibility

**Requirements**:

- Strong business acumen/curiosity backed up by data technical skills allowing to deliver clear and actionable insights to your business stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate efficiently with both technical and business audiences
- Previous experience in the retail industry is preferred
- Proven expertise in data manipulation and modeling languages ( SQL, Python,)
- Proven expertise in development or usage of BI solution packages (Microstrategy, Looker, Tableau,)
- Proven expertise of data visualization best practices and concepts.
- Understanding of the big data stack technologies (GCP, Azure,)
- Good understanding of data warehouse solution delivery principles (dimensional modeling, ETL, Enterprise Data Model,...)
- Understanding of the fundamentals of machine learning and the different modeling algorithms is a plus. (be able to sustain a discussion with a data scientist)
- Leadership, with a teamwork attitude
- Excellent oral and written communication (French or Dutch and English)
