**Who we are**: Verhaert On-site Consulting is** a Belgian consulting firm** founded in 2006. The organization provides solutions for companies and organizations in various sectors, including aerospace, medical devices, automotive and consumer electronics.

Together **we work on challenging projects for leading clients** and offer expertise in concept development, engineering, prototyping, testing and project management.

Verhaert On-site Consulting is part of the Verhaert Group Masters in Innovation.

**The role**:

- A Belgian working permit is required for this role_

The embedded controller is used worldwide on all the products in a specific division as control and monitoring device.
The responsible engineering team researches, designs, develops and maintains the hardware and software of the new, current and previous generation embedded controller and the linked desktop software.

The most important responsibilities are:

- ** Application development for the embedded controllers** using the IEC1131 software standard. The platform is a PLC/embedded controller specially developed for our clients needs.
- ** Report results** and **follow up** project team **lab tests**:

- Cooperate and share knowledge with fellow software developers.

**Your profile**:

- **Master's degree in engineering: Automatisation / Computer Science / Electronics or equivalent**:

- You have **a passion for software development**:

- You have **a special interest in embedded software development and automatization.** You want to control, monitor and integrate machines in an industrial environment.
- You are either a senior software developer with an impressive track record, or you are a junior software developer who can convince our client of your exceptional talent for software development.
- You have knowledge of C#,C++ and/or other PLC/IEC1131 programming languages. Having **a solid background in object-oriented programming is a must.**:

- You have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- ** Working language is English, preferably speaking Dutch**
