**Responsibilities**:

- You will be a member of a global team, leading the development of our future exhaust aftertreatment and emissions products. These products protect the environment and improve people’s lives by reducing pollution from Heavy-Duty diesel engines.
- On a daily basis, you will be responsible for developing exhaust aftertreatment system for Heavy-Duty diesel engines. Your teams’ focus is on finding novel aftertreatment solutions, promoting these at (potential) customers and following up the early phases of actual customer projects.
- You will lead a team to transform engineering creativity into realistic designs and working closely with OE customer to optimize the performance.
- On a regular base you will organize creative discussions with a global engineering team on the development of our new products.
- You provide critical input used to set the business and technology strategy.
- You will visit (potential) customers to communicate the technical aspects of these novel EAT solutions
- You are expected to attend conferences, follow industry literature and communicate your findings internally.
- You will help the team manage and expand our IP portfolio.

**Qualifications**:

- Engineering Master degree (mechanical or automotive) or equivalent experience in related fields.
- Multiple years of experience in an emissions aftertreatment development environment.
- Multiple years of experience managing professionals on a technical team.
- A good balance between perfectionism, customer orientation and driven to deliver results.
- Good understanding _of _, or genuine interest _in _engine emission technology.
- Specific knowledge of following fields are considered assets for the position: diesel engine exhaust emissions, sheet metal manufacturing technology, fluid dynamics.
- Fluent in English. Dutch, French or German is an asset.
- Travelling in Europe (1/month) expected.
