To strengthen our Group Sustainability Team, based in Limelette, Belgium, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Junior Group Sustainability Analyst (VIE).

About the role

As a Junior Group Sustainability Analyst (VIE), you will report to our Group Sustainability Advisor and be part of the Group Sustainability Team, in charge of executing the 2030 Group Sustainability Vision & Roadmap. You are responsible for embedding Sustainability into Lhoist’s day-to-day activities and driving Lhoist employees together towards a better future. To do so, you will be working with a diverse and broad group of experts from the different regions.

Your principal objective will be to support the Sustainability Team is the execution of its mandates:
1. 2030 Vision (Strategy, Project Management, Cross-fertilization, etc.)

2. Communication (Presentations, Brochures, Website, Power BI Dashboards, etc.)

3. Reporting (CSRD, Group Sustainability KPIs, SBTi, etc.)

4. Certifications (EcoVadis, CDP, etc.)

5. Research (Peer benchmarking & continuous monitoring, Sustainability trends & concepts, etc.)

Your role and responsibilities:
Communication (Internal & External)
- Designing PowerPoint presentations (GEC, Board, Lhoist Leadership Forum, Lhoist Intro, customers, etc.)
- Creating Sustainability section on Lhoist Intranet and generating posts
- Build a Sustainability course for Lhoist employees
- Respond to external Sustainability inquiries

Data Analysis
- Perform annual benchmarking exercise on peer group and continuously monitor peer activities for important news
- Carry out a (legal) regulatory watch
- Investigate Sustainability trends & concepts relevant for Lhoist
- Research Internal Carbon Pricing

Certification
- Provide support to CDP (certification) project lead

About you:

- You hold a master’s degree in Sustainability, Environment, Engineering, Business, Management, Communication, Marketing or Public Relations.
- Expected hard skills: MS Office, Power BI, Python, MS Forms, Miro, Wooclap, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Kahoot
- Team player, able to work with people from different culture and background.
- Strong communication skills both written and oral.
- Ability to structure information, conciseness, and attention-to-detail.
- Positive outlook and solution-oriented; takes initiatives and generates creative ideas. Autonomous (dependable and asks for support when needed); takes ownership of his/her tasks.
- Passionate for Sustainability, with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Previous experience or studies abroad and previous work/internship experience in project management, data analysis and sustainability consultancy is a big plus.
- English is a must, another language is a plus.

V.I.E. Program (volontariat international en entreprise), is an international graduate program that allows EU graduates working with a team of experts abroad.
