**LABORATORY MANAGER** (Boston based)

**SUMMARY**:
**Quantoom Biosciences** is opening a new US-based facility and we are looking for our first employee who will be our
**Laboratory Manager** to oversee our laboratory and facilities function. The individual in this role will be responsible for execution across various activities, including day-to-day lab and facilities operations, to support a growing team of Scientists and Technicians. Our laboratory will be located in Andover at 30 min from Boston - Center

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Initial set-up of lab and overall operations.
- Oversee experiment preparation, execution, and reporting.
- Maintain a roadmap of technical priorities and solutions to meet business goals and scientific and development standards within the organization.
- Interface with customers to pertaining to project execution and results.
- Provide scientific and technological mentorship to the Team and act as point of expertise when needed.
- Ensure quality and biosafety compliance as well as safety guidelines are met consistently.
- Collaborate on the drafting of all biosafety procedures and lab practices while supervising compliance fulfillment.
- Ensure that all assemblies and equipment are available for experiments.
- Coordinate laboratory practices.
- Manage a team of Lab Scientists and Support Technicians.
- Manage laboratory purchase of inventory, storage, and supplies usage.
- Train on equipment, use, procedures, practices and share knowledge and practical/professional experience.
- Plan lab support activities.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Biology or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years of experience executing and leading lab and facilities operations.
- Experience managing a team.
- Eager to learn and leverage know-how to participate in the development of solutions.
- Capacity to work autonomously.
- Solid technical expertise and customer-focused attitude.
- Enthusiastic and agile to work on a variety of projects in a multi-tasking environment.
- Ability to give confidence through in-depth experimental reports and data analysis.
- Driven by curiosity and eager to learn more every day.

**POSITION**: Full-Time, Exempt
