**Group Corporate Sustainability** is actief op het niveau van KBC Groep, situeert zich binnen de entiteit Corporate Staff en rapporteert rechtstreeks aan de CEO van KBC Groep.
Voor KBC Groep betekent Sustainability of duurzaam Ondernemen dat wij als bankverzekeraar -niet alleen vandaag maar ook morgen
- tegemoet willen komen aan de verwachtingen van alle betrokken stakeholders.
Als** duurzaam bedrijf** engageert KBC zich om te ondernemen met respect voor milieu, mens en maatschappij, en verankert dat engagement in het beleid. Vernieuwen, vergroenen, verbinden: daar maakt KBC intern al jaren werk van. Maar KBC engageert zich voor meer: we willen ook onze klanten inspireren en aanmoedigen tot meer duurzaamheid. We zijn dan ook een professionele partner in de duurzame transitie van onze klanten.

Het duurzaamheidsbeleid van KBC is wetenschappelijk onderbouwd maar eenvoudig samen te vatten:

- verantwoord gedrag van elke medewerker stimuleren;
- de negatieve impact op de samenleving beperken door strikte keuzes en beleidslijnen;
- de positieve impact vergroten, vooral door in te zetten op de duurzame ontwikkelingsdoelen (Sustainable Development Goals of SDG's) waarmee we als bank-verzekeraar het grootste verschil kunnen maken.
- KBC is dus op weg naar meer duurzaamheid. Samen met verschillende collega’s in de kernlanden en in alle groepsentiteiten, werken we elke dag aan het verder uitbouwen van onze duurzaamheidsaanpak. Al is het maar omdat de noden voortdurend wijzigen en de eisen (van onder meer Europa) alsmaar strenger en omvattender worden. En omdat duurzaamheid simpelweg altijd beter kan.
Het domein waar tot voor kort de meeste focus naar toe ging is klimaatverandering: enerzijds willen we impact van onze eigen activiteiten en van onze kredieten, verzekeringen en investeringen op de opwarming van de aarde beperken; anderzijds dienen we ook oog te hebben voor de risico’s en de opportuniteiten die klimaatverandering met zich meebrengt. Naast klimaat is ondertussen ook de aandacht voor andere milieu-domeinen als bio-diversiteit, water, afval en circulaire economie sterk gegroeid. Ook de sociale aspecten van ons beleid worden steeds belangrijker.

**Wat verwachten we van jou?**:

- Binnen het team van Group Corporate Sustainability word jij zeer snel één van de duurzaamheidsexperten, die bepaalde aspecten van het duurzaamheidsbeleid van KBC voorbereidt en ter beslissing voorlegt aan de bevoegde stuurgroepen, evenals aan de Internal Sustainability Board.
- Je ontwikkelt, in nauw overleg met de centrale risicodepartementen en met de businessverantwoordelijken in de thuislanden, het beleid voor de verduurzaming van de gebouwen in onze krediet
- en verzekeringsportefeuilles. De realisatie van onze klimaatdoelstellingen en de verdere uitbouw van de datacollectie en rapportering staan hierbij centraal. Daarnaast krijg je ook nog andere verantwoordelijkheden en opdrachten, die in teamverband en in functie van de noden worden bepaald.
- Dit houdt onder meer in dat je de verschillende regelgevingen en technologische trends met betrekking tot energieperformantie, klimaat en de andere milieudomeinen in de vastgoedsector (en eventueel nog andere sectoren) opvolgt en analyseert. Je stuurt de verschillende entiteiten binnen de groep (pro-)actief aan met het oog op nieuwe opportuniteiten en het aanpakken van de bijhorende risico’s. Jouw achtergrond zorgt ervoor dat je de wetgevende en financiële implicaties van de milieu-uitdagingen en de mitigerende factoren goed kan vertalen naar mogelijke impact voor onze verschillende businessdomeinen. Je ondersteunt hierbij de collega’s van de kernlanden en betrokken centrale departementen in het opzetten van de nodige acties. Dit gebeurt, vanuit onze rol als groepsentiteit, in een internationale en uitdagende context. Je brengt ook de voorgestelde beleidsopties en bijhorende acties op een transparante en duidelijke manier ter beslissing naar de betrokken stuurgroep of comité.
- Onze duurzaamheidsaanpak wordt steeds meer datagedreven. Het uitwerken van correcte beschrijvingen van de datanoden en het bepalen van duidelijke definities van de bijhorende metrics maakt dus ook deel uit van jouw verantwoordelijkheden voor de toegewezen sector en duurzaamheidssdomeinen.
- Het Group Corporate Sustainability team werkt daarnaast ook als 1 team samen om grotere opdrachten te realiseren. Alle collega’s dragen bijvoorbeeld bij om bevragingen van diverse Rating Agencies te beantwoorden of om de duurzaamheidsrapporteringen te schrijven. Er worden ook ad hoc opdrachten onder elkaar toegewezen. Ook jij zal hier dus aan meewerken.
