**Work environment**:
You will function within a team of driven mobility experts active within the working areas of mobility planning, mobility engineering and traffic modeling. You participate as an expert in multidisciplinary projects or work independently on mobility challenges. You regard complex study assignments within an integrated team of urban planners, (infrastructure) designers and architects as a challenge. As an expert and project leader you have a responsible function in terms of content, process and administration in a very broad spectrum of study assignments, such as the development of mobility strategies, the design and supervision of multimodal infrastructure, parking studies, accessibility analyses, MOBERs and environmental impact reports, traffic safety studies, etc.
Tractebel has a philosophy of flexible working hours and work locations. You are welcome in our office in Hasselt for at least 2 days a week. On the other days you can work from home, so you can avoid long travel times and reconcile work and private life.
Your job responsibilities include the following tasks:
- You are an expert in mobility, and you want to specialize in one or more areas;
- Preparation of tenders and follow-up of the award process;
- You provide general support to the Mobility team, and combine this with project work;
- You take on the project management of projects, either as independent projects or as sub-projects within a larger (multidisciplinary) whole;
- The management of project staff in function of these projects are part of your responsibility;
- You have a network, or are motivated to develop this in the mobility world;
- Provide support to your close colleagues;
- In addition, you are very flexible to provide support where needed, in following up/coordinating projects, preparing quotes, organizing the workload
**Profile**:
- You have at least 5 years of working experience in the mobility world, having obtained your master degree (preferably industrial engineer). As a result, you are familiar with the Flemish mobility landscape and the applicable procedures and processes. Practical experience with traffic engineering projects, infrastructure design and/or CAD is recommended.
- Communicative, initiating, computer literate, driven and team-oriented are your key-words.
- You are eager to learn, proactive and have a commercial reflex.In addition, you have a large dose of flexibility, customer orientation and sense of responsibility.
- You have a sense of initiative and organization.
- You are a real team player and enjoy working on projects yourself.
- You are fluent in Dutch, a good knowledge of English is necessary. Knowledge of French is a plus.
